Sixteenth V.S. Pritchett Memorial Prize

The Royal Society of Literature has recently launched the sixteenth V.S. Pritchett Memorial Prize, awarded for best unpublished short story of the year. The competition is open to writers in all commonwealth countries.

There is a prize of £1,000, and the winning entry will be published in Prospect online and in the RSL Review. In addition to this, there will be an opportunity to appear at a RSL event with established short story writers in autumn 2014. The judges for this year are Margaret Drabble, Tibor Fischer and Helen Oyeyemi.
