Florida’s rich and colorful literary heritage is celebrated every year in September when the Florida Heritage Book Festival is held. This year the Book Festival returns to St. Augustine on September 23–24, 2011, featuring presentations by outstanding Florida authors, writing workshops, readings, book signings by popular authors, children’s activities, and much more. The Saturday events are free to the public.
The Florida Heritage Book Festival’s mission is to promote literacy. Festival proceeds are donated to the St. Johns County Friends of the Libraries and the News In Education program of The St. Augustine Record.
This Festival is a must for book lovers and aspiring authors. You will have the opportunity to rub elbows with authors, fellow book lovers, publishers, and others at this exciting event.
